Panels: Craftsmanship and detail abound in Timberlane's
wood panel shutters. These custom exterior shutters are built to order and historically accurate, using hardwood pegs to
complete the pinned mortise and tenon construction. Choose
from raised, recessed, Shaker or flat panels. You may also
select one of our many styles of trim (quarter round, ogee
or bead) to frame your panel using Timberlane's signature
"integrated picture-frame trim." Timberlane,
wooden panel shutters provide grace and style to this classic
and traditional design. |
 |
Louvers: Like all Timberlane shutters,
our handmade, Louver line is constructed from 100% kiln
dried, Western Red Cedar or Honduras Mahogany. Our wooden, fixed louver
shutters are the benchmark in style and durability with each
louver being placed by hand into a mortise. Louvers are available in both operable and fixed styles, with or without
tilt rods and mouse holes. These elegant, solid wood, exterior
shutters come in a variety of louver widths and panel configurations. |
 |
Board
and Batten: The hearty Board and Batten,
traditionally used on barns, is a magnificent choice no matter
where your house is located. Choose either open or closed Board and Batten with 3, 4 or 5 boards (cedar or
mahogany); varying widths and custom spacing are also available. These solid wood, custom shutters are built to your choosing and detailed with a v-groove or beading, as
in our Philadelphia style Board and Batten. Our Board and Batten
line, as all Timberlane exterior wooden shutters, operate as hurricane shutters if they are equipped with SBCCI/Dade County
Building Code compliant hurricane paneling (available through
Timberlane). |
 |
Bermuda: The Bermuda shutter, also referred to
as a Bahama shutter, is typically used for screening the
sun as well as for moderate storm protection. Timberlane's
solid wooden Bermuda
shutters are available in all of Timberlane's louver styles.
One Bermuda shutter is usually all it takes to cover an entire
window, although in some cases two or more may be needed.
Using some traditional hardware, the solid wood Bermuda shutter
attaches to your house with a Bermuda hinge
and opens and closes with the support arm. |
